Mahseer Fishing near Jim Corbett: The River at First Light
A guided session for golden mahseer, catch and release, first light or last light. Gear provided.
The fish that brought anglers to these foothills.
The golden mahseer is why anglers have come to the rivers of Corbett country for a century. The Homestead, a family farm of 170 acres near Jim Corbett National Park, arranges a guided session on them: catch and release, with a guide who knows which stretch is fishing well that week.
Sessions run at first light or last light, outside the monsoon. Gear is provided. Patience is not.
First light or last light.
A session is guided, and every mahseer goes back in the river. The guide brings the gear and picks the stretch.
The river sits outside the monsoon, and a session needs more notice than a block on the farm, so send your dates early. The Homestead gives the price when you ask.
