By road

### From Delhi.

Take NH9 out of Delhi through Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gajraula and Moradabad, then turn north for Kashipur and Ramnagar. The farm is fifteen minutes beyond Ramnagar, at Sakhanpur. With a stop for breakfast on the highway, the drive is about five and a half hours.

Leave early. Clearing Delhi before the morning traffic saves the better part of an hour, and the road after Moradabad is pleasanter in daylight. Friday evenings and the mornings of long weekends are the slow ones. Ramnagar is the last town, with fuel, cash machines and a market. For the last stretch follow the Google Maps pin, not the postal address: the pin is the farm's own listing, and the address on its own can send a map app to the wrong place.

### From Gurgaon.

From Gurgaon, the drive is the Delhi one with the city added to the front of it: across to NH9 at Ghaziabad, then the same road east and north. Allow an hour or more for the crossing at busy times, and leave before the city wakes if you can. The farm is a weekend getaway from Gurgaon of about six and a half hours door to door.

### From Noida.

From Noida and Greater Noida, join NH9 at Ghaziabad without crossing Delhi at all; the rest of the road is the same. It is the shortest of the three drives from the capital's side, a little under the Delhi time on a clear morning.

From the farm

#### Distances.

- **Delhi**: About 250 km, five and a half hours by road
- **Ramnagar station**: Fifteen minutes
- **Pantnagar airport**: About 70 km
- **Nainital**: About 70 km
- **Jim Corbett National Park**: Six kilometres

By train

### By train to Ramnagar.

Ramnagar has a station of its own, the nearest to the park, fifteen minutes from the farm. Overnight trains from Delhi arrive early in the morning, which puts you at the farm in time for breakfast; services change with the season, so check the current timetable when you book. A car can meet you at the station: [ask The Homestead](https://www.homesteadcorbett.com/contact) when you book.

Kathgodam, the railhead for Nainital, has more trains and is the other way in. Ask about a pickup from there.

By air

### By air, via Pantnagar or Delhi.

Pantnagar is the nearest airport, about 70 km from the farm. Flights from Delhi are few and change by season, so most guests drive. Delhi's airport is the other way: about 250 km by road from there.

Around the farm

### Nearby: Garjia temple, Kosi river, Nainital.

The farm is six kilometres from the park, and the places guests ask about are within an hour of it. A safari fills a morning or an afternoon; the rest of the day has room for one of these, or for none of them.

- **Garjiya temple**: The Garjiya Devi temple stands on a rock in the Kosi river, a short drive north of Ramnagar on the way towards the park. Busiest at Kartik Purnima and on festival days.
- **The Kosi river**: The river runs down the park's eastern edge and past Ramnagar; the road from Ramnagar towards the northern gates follows it, and the Garjiya safari zone is named for the temple on it.
- **Nainital**: About 70 km from the farm, a day trip to the lake and back, or the way in by road from Kathgodam.
- **Ramnagar**: The gateway town for the park, fifteen minutes from the farm: the station, the market, fuel and cash machines.

Before you set out

#### Two things worth knowing.

Coming for a safari? The morning jeep leaves before first light, so arrive the day before. [How the safari is booked](https://www.homesteadcorbett.com/experiences/jim-corbett-jeep-safari).

Bringing a dog? [The two cottages take dogs](https://www.homesteadcorbett.com/pet-friendly); tell The Homestead when you book.
